Veronica Picone was just a teenager when she was ordered to leave home. Unwelcome for over thirty years, she keenly knows the cost of imposed exile and the loss of connection to family, personal history, and community. As a licensed psychotherapist, lecturer, and motivational leader specializing in family reconciliation in the private and public sectors, she has helped thousands of men, women, and children improve and better understand their lives. Still an optimist, she is dedicated to the labor of creating peace in the world, in the family, and in the individual, one personal story at a time. She lives in New York City.
